Hollambys has two fully equipped modernised cottages both fitted out to a high standard offering comfortable accommodation in a very peaceful setting where you can escape the stresses and strains of modern living and relax and unwind in the peace of the East Sussex countryside.

The cottages are set at the top of the drive with stacks of room for parking(directly outside) and have well kept south facing gardens but despite the rural setting we are just one hour from London and 45 minutes to the south coast.

Groombridge village is a mere 1/2 a mile away with two fantastic pubs serving great food and beer, a fully stocked local store and a very popular bakers.

Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding areas offer a great choice of fine dining options from Thackerays and Hotel Du Vin to many local pubs serving the best local food and drinks.

There is also the option to travel back in time by taking the local steam train, the Spa Valley Railway, into Royal Tunbridge Wells.

Royal Tunbridge Wells and it’s mainline station is just 4 miles away and about a 12 minute drive. Eridge train station is 1.5 miles away.

Hollambys is a small farm where you can relax in a tranquil setting, away from the noise of traffic, surrounded by fields and woodlands. Situated in an elevated position in a recognised Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty,  the cottages offer fine views over the Weald and have private gardens to the rear which face south, catching the sun all day with terrific views of the sunsets.

The area is great for walking with direct access to Birchden Wood, with the spectacular Harrisons Rocks, and a quarter of a mile up the road is Broadwater Warren, a RSPB reserve of some 450 acres. The Weald Way passes close by through Harrisons Rocks offering some of the best walking in the south east.

There are lots of places of interest locally and plenty of things to do with the family, here are a few suggestions; Cycling at Bedgebury Pinetum, Park runs at Penshurst and Tunbridge Wells, swimming/gym/classes at leisure centres at Crowborough and Tunbridge Wells, Golf at Dewlands, Holtye, Lamberhurst etc., riding at local stables, rock climbing at Harrisons, Bowles or indoor at Chimera, clay pidgeon shooting at West Kent Shooting School, fishing at Springwood Fisheries, Ashdown Forest, Sissinghurst Gardens, Pashley Manor, Chartwell, Groombridge Place Gardens, the Cuckoo Trail, Forest Way, Hever Castle, Leeds Castle, Penshurst Place, Tonbridge Castle, Knole House, Ightham Mote, Godinton House, Chiddingstone Castle, Down House(Charles Darwin), Owletts, Sheffield Park, Wakehurst and many, many others…

Wow! What a fantastic cottage, so deceiving from the outside, everything you could wish for and more, it certainly exceeded our expectations and would definitely recommend to family and friends.

So relaxing and peaceful and lovely scenery, we were regularly visited by a hare in the garden.

The steam train journey to Tunbridge Wells is a must and the Groombridge enchanted gardens are lovely especially to see the Zeedonk.

Many thanks for a lovely holiday, we will be back.

The Wilkinsons

We’ve had an amazing time staying here at Bramble Cottage. The cottage is very well decorated and provides a most relaxing environment for a holiday away (especially the patio in the evening when the sun shines). I congratulate on the facilities you have provided here!!

The location has been perfect for visiting several National Trust places including Scotney Castle and Sissinghurst gardens.

We have had lovely evenings out and I would highly recommend the Nevill Crest and Gun for a fantastic dinner and atmosphere.

Thank you both for letting us stay at your cottage.
